White Gold Cross Necklace Information

September 1st, 2010

I was looking for white gold cross necklaces ideas when I came across this information:

Crosses necklaces have always been a staple Christian jewelry. In the past, Crosses necklaces have been used to symbolize the crucifix to remind Christians of the sacrifice of the Christ. And in Addition to that, cross-shaped necklaces are sometimes believed to drive away bad luck or evil spirits.

Cross necklaces are not always, Christian, though. Most religions, like Jewish, Pagans, Celtics, Coptics, Anglicans and the Gnostic, for instance, use variations of the cross for their beliefs.

That is new to me.

Anyways, like as always a cool video:

Been a While!

February 12th, 2010

Its been a while since I last posted in my blog. Real life had kept me real busy, I haven’t had enough time to create new lenses like before. But it is nice still to get all those clients for my non-online business.

But hey I was able to create two for-fun lenses, both got blessings, and one addition to my asthma nice which I just finished yesterday. :D

I really dislike emo kids. All those whining and I hate myself stuff just makes me sick. However I did not want to be mean, so I wrote this rant, I hate emo, in a funny way. Or I just don’t know how to be mean. Whatever.

Any MMORPG player must have encountered a female character being piloted by a male person IRL (in real life). In the Philippines, these are called Chixilog (for the etymology, check the page I made). I had so much fun writing this article, because I was once addicted to MMORPG, and, needles to say, a virtual hussy. (Special thanks to Wordcustard for the new word.)

Now for the asthma niche… I was able to finish a long time WIP page entitled, Best Nebulizers Review. It took me so long because I really wanted this to be a good one. A nebulizer must be the most common asthma gizmo, and I wanted the page to be a really good lens in the health and shopping category.

I just discovered another content fodder for lenses. The backtype module pulls out comments from blogs and summarizes them into clickable (it is a word now, Webster) RSS-feed like paragraphs. A little warning, though. Some of the post are spam, like the ones I get in this blog. (I installed the captcha now, idiots!)

For those who didn’t know, I just turned 25 yesterday. I hate that I am not a kid anymore. LOL. It is dawning to me that I am getting older, and have to work my butt off for my financial freedom.

Valentines and Recognition!

January 25th, 2010

Been a while that I made another lens. I’ve been thinking of what to create for Valentines lately, and I was able to make one with the help of another lens. The product? Anti-Flower Valentines Gifts for Her. With the help of my girl, sisters, female friends and online female pals, I was able to craft this gift guide. Thanks, ladies. I tried adding my suggestions, but females seem to disagree with the suggestion of my XY-chromosomes.

Don’t you like recognition? For me, being recognized as a person who got potential in writing is a very flattering albeit very uncommon. I’ve said this in the Fresh Wonders Ning before, that I’ve almost failed creative writing in high school. Guess my teacher was wrong! Ha!

Anyways, the recognition came from the lens of  a long time (and brilliant, I must say) lensmaster, Susanna Duffy, entitled The 2010 Promise. Added pressure for gianthood on March 31!

Another flattering moment were two e-mails I got this week. One was some guy who was thanking me for the information he got from my asthma lenses. He did not say where he used the information, but hey, helping others is one of the goals of my lenses. The second e-mail is also directed at my asthma niche, this time, trying to sell me a website. I checked. It was pretty good. But I’m more concerned of making my own. Thanks for the offer. I’m still thinking about it, though.

BTW, I learned a very important lesson in lens making. Tags should be as generic as possible. The Valentines gift lens of mine got indexed in under 24 hours, using around 12 tags, each being used by more than 100 lenses.

Lensography and Expanding the Asthma Niche

January 13th, 2010

This week has been busy! I was promoting my business (a tangible business – not online) both online and in person, using all available resources, including handing out fliers in public. That had cut my lensmaking in half, sadly. I am not reading lenses as much as I did now.

Hey, payouts have been given out. The poeple in the forums have been ragin’, saying this is a really high payout. I agree! This is the highest payout ever… because this is my first! I am quite surprised to see over thirty bucks worth of Squidoo payment in my Paypal account. Much higher than what I was expecting, but hey, I will take it! I’m not complaining.

I was able to create a full-bodied lensography as my thirtieth lens. At first, just did not know how to create an intro for my lensography, Rothman aka Kapalbility. Michelle gave me an awesome tip — if you do not know what to write in the intro, leave it blank, then you will have tons of idea by the time you finish. Very effective, indeed.

The said lensography was featured in Crystal’s blog. I am very pleased.

I tried expanding my asthma information niche, mentioned in this post, and I was able to come out with two more lenses, namely Asthma Control Tips and Best Peak Flow Meters | Buy Peak Flow Meters.

I think I am going to focus on the guitars, asthma and PS3 games! :)

Google Blog Search and Twitter Search Modules – Potential Keyword Fodder?

January 5th, 2010

I haven’t have enough time to check with experts, but I suspect that the mentioned modules can actually help in peppering target keywords into your lens. Just use your target keyword as search item into the said modules, and voila! Instant keyword+content, which big daddy G loves. Will check if this theory is right.

UPDATE: 01/08/10 – Here are the expert’s answer

1. Twitter Search Module – Yes, it helps adding more content and keyword! Woot! This will help a lot of people who struggle with content creation, just like me!

2. Google Blog Search – No it does not add keywords to your lens…. However, the good news is that this is an evergreen module, which means will keep your lenses fresh, everyday. Still worth adding to every lens.

First Guitar Lenses Subfamily Done and PS3 Games

January 2nd, 2010

Holidays are over. Most workers go back to work on the fourth, and it’s these times I appreciate freedom from the desk. I get to extend my holidays.

I did not take a rest, though. Yesterday, I was able to finish the first subfamily of lenses I mentioned in this super ambitious post. Four lenses for the first subfamily that reviews electric guitars. A bit tough, because I do not play EG’s, I play acoustic guitars, but it turned out well, I think. The parent lens, Yamaha Pacifica Electric Guitars, will still get another parent lens when this grand project is finished.

I also decided to review PS3 games since I am a gaming addict (I had a history of blowing up Playstation consoles). Final Fantasy XIII is coming out this spring in the US, (March 2010) and I suppose I can get a few pre-order sales, if I create a lens that looks very much like a fansite. I might make a lens that look like Fluff’s lenses, too!

Recounting my progress since I joined, I was able to make 29 lenses and more than a hundred bucks (Squidoo and Amazon earnings combined), and I am so thankful for my progress.

I haven’t heard from my favorite giant candidates yet. I wonder when they will get their giant badges… hmmm.

Happy New Year!

May we all have a financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually and socially prosperous 2010!

Xombified – My Unbelivable Experience with Xomba

December 29th, 2009

How’s everyone’s holidays? I hope everyone had a blast. The parties I attended were so awesome, I am going to check Guiness if I broke the “Worst Hungover” category. Fun.

About the guitar reviews, I got frozen after getting my fourth asthma attack this year… It got triggered by my cough, and it was really bad. However I able to make one. Yamaha PAC112J Review is now getting Google traffic. It even overtook the first lens, Pac012.

Has anyone heard of Xomba? It is an article submission and social bookmark in one. I was introduced to this awesome site around two months ago, but never got into it. Maybe I was just a stubborn jerk or maybe I was just uninterested with the site’s no-follow link, or maybe I think the site’s theme looks goofy… but whatever it is, I regret forgetting the site after getting referred to the site by promotions mentor Rajays.

Turns out, the site is the most awesometastic site I’ve ever seen! Well, I think so, because of one really big thing — big daddy G is in love with Xomba.

I tried making a few Xomblurbs (social bookmark), they got indexed in under thirty minutes. Around two hours later, the Xomblurbs made it to the top ten search queries, using only SEO and no backlinks. How cool is that? If not only for the overly-strategically-placed Adsense ads there, I’d make my articles there.

So now, I have tweaked my strategy… is… hmmm… maybe you should just read my lens about my Xomba experience to find out what my strategy was. I promise I made that lens out of excitement. I hope I was able to make it entertaining.

Oh, have I told anyone that Xomba offers Adsense sharing?

I have made several Xomblurbs now. Why don’t you create an account and get started if you haven’t? This is is a goldmine, I tell you.

(The Xomblurbs I made. Yamaha YPG 535 Grand Piano Keyboard / Schwinn Katana Road Bike / Yamaha Gigmaker EG / Yamaha PAC012 / Yamaha PAC112J / Buteyko Breathing Exercises) >>> Yes I was link dropping. ;P
